What we do with your details
Short version: we collect what we need to turn up at the right place at the right time and clean your car. If you arrive from an advert, we also record the campaign information already present in that link so we can understand whether the advertising produced a genuine booking. Nothing is sold.
What we collect
When you submit a booking request we store your name, email address, phone number, postcode
and (if you give it) your address, along with the car, the service you chose, the slot you
picked and any notes you add. We also store a one-way fingerprint of your IP address and your
browser's user-agent string, purely to spot and block abuse of the booking form.
If an advertising link contains a Google or Meta click identifier (such as GCLID,
GBRAID, WBRAID or FBCLID) or UTM campaign labels, we store those with the visit and
resulting booking. If you accept advertising measurement, Meta may also set the
_fbp and _fbc cookies and we store your consent choice in your
browser.
Why we need it
To contact you about the booking, confirm or decline it, find you on the day, and keep a record of work done, protect the service from abuse, and measure which advertising leads to real enquiries and paid work. Our own visit counter does not use persistent identifiers. Meta Pixel is loaded only after you accept advertising measurement. Necessary cookies keep the booking form secure and keep the owner signed in to the admin area.
Who sees it
Gran Lusso, and our email provider (Google, who deliver the notification and confirmation emails). Booking and attribution data is stored on the server that runs this website. The private advertising dashboard reads campaign statistics from Google Ads. If you accept advertising measurement, we send Meta consented website activity and verified booking outcomes through Meta Pixel and the Conversions API. Contact information used for matching is normalised and one-way hashed before it leaves our server; Meta may still treat it as personal information. Customer contact details are not sent to the AI adviser.
Your advertising choice
Accepting advertising measurement is optional and does not affect your ability to book. Choose “Advertising choices” at the bottom of a page at any time to accept, reject or change your choice. Rejecting removes the Meta cookies that this site can access, stops Meta Pixel, and prevents future bookings from carrying advertising consent. Events already sent may be retained by Meta under its policies; contact us if you want us to help exercise your data rights.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept while they're useful for running the business — typically up to two years — after which they're deleted. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email granlussodetailing@gmail.com and we'll sort it — no forms, no hoops. If you're not happy with how we handle it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
